Hair and Grins

Kyson has started to smile and laugh at us now when we play with him. He has the cutest smile and I absolutely love that he has his daddies dimples. (Even though his dad hates it.)
Since his hair never seems to want to stay combed I decided to let it have it's way and spike it up. I thought it looked cute, but Scott says I can't do his hair like this anymore. We'll see.

Here is a cute video of him smiling and talking to me the other day. He is so fun to watch and talk to because he is such a happy baby!

This is Kyson when he turned one month old. He had changed so much already and is still growing up so fast.

Crazy Hair

As everyone has seen, Kyson was born with a ton of hair. No matter how many times a day I comb it, his hair does what it wants to.

Kyson's First Halloween

This year for Halloween we decided to be festive and decorate our door. Cortlynn had a lot of fun coloring the pictures and helping me hang them up. She has wanted to re do the door practically every day since then.

Kyson and Cortlynn while we worked on our decorations.

This year Cortlynn wanted to be Snow White for Halloween. She had a lot of fun posing and twirling for the camera.

We dressed Kyson as a frog this year. He was a good sport and pretty much slept the whole time.

We made stops at all 4 grandparents houses this year. Iforgot to take my camera in to every house but my mom's so here's the couple of pictures I did take.

Braiden and Gavin as Nemo and Squirt.

All of the grand kids opening their presents from Grandma Carrie and Grandpa Bryon. They got candy and Benda Roo's. Cortlynn has absolutely loved them. All in all it was a very busy but fun Halloween day.

Kyson's first couple of weeks

Here are some pictures of Kyson the first 3 weeks after he was born.

Bringing Kyson Home

Sorry it has been so long since I posted last, life definitely gets crazy when you bring a new baby home. The past two months have definitely been a fun, crazy, hectic time. But I have loved every minute of it. Kyson is such a good baby, he is usually very happy and content until he gets hungry or has a tummy ache, that's when his temper shows up. All things considered. i'll take it. With Corytlynn she always had to be bounced or entertained it seemed. So Kyson is a definite change. The past two months have definitely been a difficult adjustment for the whole family. I am surprised we haven't gone more crazy being together so much. I have been used to going to work and she was used to getting to go play at one of her grandma's houses every other day. But we are adjusting and trying to find new ways to keep us entertained each day. Since I do still work from home it is hard to fit everything in that I need and want to, but I am so lucky to have such a great and helpful husband and family members who also offer to help whenever I need it. These are some pictures I took the week we brought Kyson home from the hospital. He is now two months old, so I will try to post as much as I can today.

Kyson at 1 week old.

Cortlynn loves to sit in her chair beside her little brother. She is such a good and loving big sister, sometimes too loving but what can you do?

This is Kyson when he was 5 days old, I absolutley love this picture he looks so handsome and peaceful.

This is pretty much what we did for the first few weeks, I am so sad to see this stage go because now he has become so much more alert and awake, but I am excited for the new stages.

Baby Kyson is Here!

Kyson was born on October 11, 2009 at 11:27 AM. He weighed 8 pounds and was 20 1/2 inches long. Everything went great and he is a very healthy baby boy.

We are so grateful for all of our family who has supported us and helped us with Cortlynn and everything during this past week and previously as well. We are extremely lucky to have all of you in our lives. We did have others come to visit but sometimes the camera didn't make it out.

Hogle Zoo, Trip # 2

Since we have been spending so much time trying to get ready for baby #2, we decided to take Cortlynn up to the zoo and spend some time with her. It was especially fun this trip because the zoo has had a bunch of cute baby animals born over the summer. Cortlynn was excited to go and see the baby elephant, although I don't know who was more excited about the baby, me or her.

Here are some pictures of the one month old baby elephant. She doesn't have a name yet, but this was her first weekend out for zoo goers to see. It was so fun because you don't usually see elephants running around playing. She kept chasing her balls and running all over the place. She even posed for us. It was great.

This is a picture of Cortlynn holding her baby brother so he could be in the picture with her. She was so worried he would feel left out.

The tigers also had three baby cubs over the summer. In this picture you can see one baby laying by his mother, but the rest were hiding.

Here is the baby giraffe that was born a few months ago. He was pretty funny, there was some water on a drain on the floor and he kept bending down to lick it. The only thing is when he would try to get up, he had spread his legs so far apart he would about face plant it into the cement. It was pretty funny.

I wanted to take a picture of Cortlynn with her new hat and baby eleplant, but she wouldn't give me a straight face. So here are some funny faces for the day.

After leaving the zoo we stopped at Costa Vida for lunch. It was really good and they were giving away free long board ice cream bars. As you can see, a full morning at the zoo sure takes a tole on a three year old when they wake up at 5:30 in the morning because they were so excited.

This is definitely one of my favorite times of the day, I hardly ever see her sit still so I try to enjoy it when I can.
