Since we have been spending so much time trying to get ready for baby #2, we decided to take Cortlynn up to the zoo and spend some time with her. It was especially fun this trip because the zoo has had a bunch of cute baby animals born over the summer. Cortlynn was excited to go and see the baby elephant, although I don't know who was more excited about the baby, me or her.
Here are some pictures of the one month old baby elephant. She doesn't have a name yet, but this was her first weekend out for zoo goers to see. It was so fun because you don't usually see elephants running around playing. She kept chasing her balls and running all over the place. She even posed for us. It was great.

This is a picture of Cortlynn holding her baby brother so he could be in the picture with her. She was so worried he would feel left out.
The tigers also had three baby cubs over the summer. In this picture you can see one baby laying by his mother, but the rest were hiding.

Here is the baby giraffe that was born a few months ago. He was pretty funny, there was some water on a drain on the floor and he kept bending down to lick it. The only thing is when he would try to get up, he had spread his legs so far apart he would about face plant it into the cement. It was pretty funny.

I wanted to take a picture of Cortlynn with her new hat and baby eleplant, but she wouldn't give me a straight face. So here are some funny faces for the day.

After leaving the zoo we stopped at Costa Vida for lunch. It was really good and they were giving away free long board ice cream bars. As you can see, a full morning at the zoo sure takes a tole on a three year old when they wake up at 5:30 in the morning because they were so excited.

This is definitely one of my favorite times of the day, I hardly ever see her sit still so I try to enjoy it when I can.

24th of July Camping
For the remainder of the 24th of July weekend we went camping up Spanish Fork Canyon with Todd, Kathi and all of their kids. Cortlynn loves to spend time with her Uncle Todd and his family.
Of course playing in the weeds and dirt is where Cortlynn is at the whole time we are up the canyon. I think at one point during this trip she was actually picking up dirt and dropping it all over her body.

Auston is so good to play with her, and she loves all of the games he comes up with to entertain her. Me I love it even more, for five bucks I had a babysitter for the whole day!
This year for Easter Cortlynn got her own four wheeler. This was the first trip she actually got to ride it. She did really well, of course the first thing she did was try to follow her cousin Alex down the big dips at the campsite and got stuck. I was pretty proud she didn't tip over though.
24th of July Parade
I am seriously slow in posting these pictures, but it has been a crazy month. On the 24th of July we went to the parade in Spanish Fork, it is a family tradition to go watch the parade with the Roach Family and then have lunch at grandma's house. This year we all had a lot fun watching the parade.

Cortlynn's Third Birthday
On Monday, Cortlynn turned 3 years old. I can't believe she has gotten so big already. It makes me sad to realize how fast she is growing up, but it has also been so much fun to see her change and grow. This year she was so excited for her birthday, we have been practicing blowing out her candles for at least a good six months. We invited both families over for her birthday celebration on Sunday. It was hot but we all had a lot of fun.

Cortlynn was so excited because she got her new bike, she couldn't wait to try it out.

She had so much fun opening her presents. As soon as someone came with a new present she ran up to them and tried to get it as fast as possible. She definitely has the hang of opening them.

She finally got to blow out her real birthday candles!!!
