Cortlynn's Third Birthday

On Monday, Cortlynn turned 3 years old. I can't believe she has gotten so big already. It makes me sad to realize how fast she is growing up, but it has also been so much fun to see her change and grow. This year she was so excited for her birthday, we have been practicing blowing out her candles for at least a good six months. We invited both families over for her birthday celebration on Sunday. It was hot but we all had a lot of fun.

Cortlynn was so excited because she got her new bike, she couldn't wait to try it out.

She had so much fun opening her presents. As soon as someone came with a new present she ran up to them and tried to get it as fast as possible. She definitely has the hang of opening them.

She finally got to blow out her real birthday candles!!!

4th of July 2009

Every year for the 4th of July we have Roach Family Fun Day at my grandma and grandpa's house. It is a great tradition where we have excellent food, swim, play games and just enjoy being together. My cute nephew Gavin was trying to get a hold of Cortlynn's Dora towel, he really liked all of the bright colors.
All of the great grand kids and some of the grand kids playing in the swimming pool. They all had a great afternood.
Cortlynn especially liked the hedgehog sprinkler her Aunt Amberly brought, they just couldn't get enough of it.
Here is Cortlynn already to go to grandma's house. I think she had asked me if it was time to go about 100 times that morning. She loves to go play with grandma and grandpa roach.

Hogle Zoo

Last Friday we decided it was time to make a trip to the Zoo and have some fun as a family. Cortlynn was so excited to go to the zoo and see all of the animals we see in books and on tv. She had a blast. Here we are waiting for our exciting choo-choo-train ride to begin.

Cortlynn is showing daddy the noisy ducks wandering around on the grass.

She is getting so big, luckily not quite as big as the monkey's at the zoo.
Cortlynn and I getting ready to ride the carousel at the Zoo. She decided she had to sit in the Peacock for her ride.
All day it seemed like the animals were posing for pictures, this was one of my favorites of a black bear just hanging out.
This was the first time I can ever remember Cortlynn telling me she did not want mom to take her picture. I figured it was definitely a photographic moment.

Camping up the Canyon

Cortlynn wanted to help mom make up the beds that night and show off her fat lip she received from falling earlier that morning. Needless to say Grandma and Grandpa didn't get to sleep any longer.
Making smores! YUM!

Cortlynn learned how to pedal Braiden's tricycle while up camping. I think they each rode the other one's bike more than their own.

We decided it was time to go camping with my side of the family so the last weekend in June Scott, Cortlynn and I went up Diamond Fork Canyon with my Grandma and Grandpa Roach, Kira, Eric, JT, Amb, Braided and Gavin. We all had so much fun , even the rain couldn't bring us down. Scott enjoyed himself even though he claims it is not real camping.
